They're messing with my mind...

I recently got given a new CD/cassette player for my birthday and I've just noticed that the fast forward and rewind buttons for the tape are the wrong way round - the ones pointing to the left, which should, logically, rewind (and the corresponding button for the CD player does indeed go back) - actually forwards the tape. Bizarre.
