Ringless in Falmouth
Well despite being told that my engagement ring would be ready to collect by the 23rd (ie three weeks from when it was ordered), we tried to pick it up yesterday (24th) and it's STILL not in. So I would just like to yell BASTARDS! very loudly, if I may. Thank you.

just out of curiosity, what was the excuse?
oh I didn't get anything as helpful as an excuse. The assistant just gaped at me vacantly for a bit, finally managed "well the delivery might be a day or two late" and then stared at me a bit longer in the manner of a dead guppy and then walked off.
